ADVICE

When traveling, everyone needs a place to stay. By that, I mean that you need a place to sleep or relax while on your vacation. Most people choose to stay in hotels or have other options.

This past weekend I learned that it is extremly important to check the details on the place you are staying. Before I start ranting and trying to give advice, I am going to give a "highlight" of what my weekend looked like.

So here goes....

When booking my trip to Dublin, Ireland, I was told there was this awesome penthouse that a huge group of us could stay in for three nights. All we had to do is pay the person who was in charge of renting the penthouse 70 pounds and we would be good to go. Now, to just to remind everyone 70 pounds is a little over 100 US dollars. Anyways, there were eight of us planning on staying in this penthouse in Dublin. Before we left London, we were given a key code and address to the place we were staying. None of us bothered to ask questions.

Long story short... It turns out that the person who was in charge of renting the penthouse, unfortunately "rented" from craigslist and it turned out to be fraud. We all lost 70 pounds and had to find rooms last minute and pay extra money we weren't planning on spending.

So my advice to travelers is to always check the place you are staying thoroughly before paying. Also, if someone is in charge of renting, be sure that before you give money to that person that you know for sure the place you are staying is valid.

This can go for many things and everywhere you travel. Always be sure you know more about what you are spending your money on before you spend it because you might regret it in the end.

Aside from losing 70 pounds and a supposedly lovely place to stay, I met new people and had an amazing time and experience.

On a side note...
